THE COMMUNITY OF ROGERSVILLE:
Our municipality is situated at the border of Kent County and Northumberland County. It was incorporated on November 9th 1966. Since our incorporation, the Village has evolved considerably.
Rogersville is an Acadian municipality situated on route 126 at the northern extremity of Kent County. Rogersville has a population of 1165 and it is home to the Assumption National Monument. This elegant construction was built in honor of our Acadian patron. Every year, there is a novena in preparation to the celebrations of the 15th of August, National Acadian day.
Many activities are held during the year. One of our many activities is the Brussels Sprouts festival which is held in July and August.
Quaint village, Rogersville is home to two monasteries, the Trappistes monk’s monastery and the Trappistines nun’s monastery.
From Rogersville you can go to Kouchibouguac National Park VIA route 480. The railway along route 126 gives access to the bigger cities in this country. Also at the south of the Village there is a airstrip for private airplanes.
The Village of Rogersville has many businesses, festivals, tourists’ attractions, and services of any kinds. The social life in the community is well organized and the Village has many associations and groups. |
