THE COMMUNITY OF PLEASANT RIDGE:
Marcelville is a small community situated on Pleasant Ridge Road about 10 kilometers from the Village of Rogersville. The first settlers came to settle this part of New Brunswick in 1880
The small church of St.-Pieux was built at the time of Mgr. Marcel-François in 1913. At 5 km from the church is Lake Després.
Each year a festival to be a lumberjack, the Sunday of the Canada Day at the Recreation Center in Pleasant Ridge. Competitors come from all over to showcase their talents to the stonecutter, godendard, throwing axes, and many other activities that are not to be missed.
